CEO & Founder - Howard Kettner

Howard Kettner is the CEO and Founder of GroupHEALTH Global. From an early start in northern British Columbia as a Prudential agent in 1980, Howard moved on to create and build the WestPro name as a consultant and administrator to Western Canadian public and private sector clients in the midsize range (50 to 2,000 employees).

WestPro's reputation grew on the back of its leadership in systems development and by the late 1990's WestPro had grown to the largest BC based and owned consulting organization and one of the most respected administrators of group benefits in Canada.

The evolution of GroupHEALTH Global Benefit Systems Inc. from a consulting and administration organization into a specialized work unit focused on insurance services that are a fundamental component of the support provided to their clients by independent agents and brokers began in 2003.

In 2005, GroupHEALTH made a commitment to its Partner affiliates to begin a gradual withdrawal from direct client business; and by 2007 had completely transitioned all remaining relationships to local community-based Partners who are committed to maintaining Howard Kettner's hallmark standard of service.

Today GroupHEALTH Global Partners has developed into a cross country network of group insurance professionals in 47 affiliate cities across Canada supporting more than 2,000 client organizations.

Howard serves on many national and international insurer advisory committees, roundtables, foundation and advisory boards and is involved in several non-profit organizations. He and his wife Coral live in White Rock and enjoy a range of pursuits inspired by the activities and interests of their seven children.
